On Sunday we decided that we would go to the Safari and see what that was all about. We had heard that it wasn't the great for kids and you really didn't get to see the animals up close so we went with low expectations which we were blown away at how cool the Safari was. We could have spent at least another day exploring the park.
Look at how close we were to this Tiger! I have always thought tigers to be absolutely beautiful but to see them in person is completely mesmerizing.
My brave little girl petting the baby lions!
Poor Nate carried the backpack and the stroller most of the day and was still willing to carry Avery anytime she wanted him. He is such a great daddy and I love to watch how these two interact together and to see their tight bond.
Face pant... why yes I think we must!
I am not sure who liked the turtle shells more? Ha!
I guess that daddy's shell is more fun!
We stopped at this cute little splash pad just as it was starting to get hot. At first Avery ran right in and was enjoying herself until she realized that her face pant was coming off then she ran back crying to us! HAHA! Such a girl!
Good thing they offer free touch ups all day... or in this case a lets just start over!
Avery and daddy getting ready to "race fast fast".
Since visiting the Safari we have been obsessed with bats. Everything that is upside down is a bat and Avery will hang upside down from the couch and tell me she is a baby bat.
Feeding the birds was probably my favorite part of the Safari! How cool is this???? Avery got a kick out of how cute they were.
