Mount. Rushmore and the surrounding area.

Kirsten and I decided that Yellowstone was half way to Mount. Rushmore and since we were half way we might as well go!  Yep, we defiantly have so much more respect for our mom and dad for all the family trips that they took us on as kids.

Avery was so excited to go swimming at the hotel one night that she put her goggles on in the hotel room! HA, good try baby girl, good try.

This is when we went to Devils Tower.

When we stopped in Dead Wood City Dallin got to be part of the reenactment of Wild Bill's shoot out. He was so excited and so proud of himself. He did such a great job!

Avery's "pecial tar" (special star)  that the "toot towboy" (cute cowboy) gave her.

Avery becoming a Jr. Ranger at Mount. Rushmore just like her big cousins.
Yes, that is Avery without shoes, she had a huge melt down and just wanted to take her shoes off. Sometimes you have to just pick the battles!

Avery and Dallin being sworn in as Jr. Rangers. Look at her holding her hand up like a big girl!

Avery's 80's day.  Yep, that is a side pony tail along with a knot in her shirt. As I was taking her picture she kept saying "pose, pose" I asked Amberly where she got that from and she informed me that they had been practicing their poses. Such silly girls.

I told the kids that I have always wanted to take a picture where it looks like I was picking the presidents noses at Mount. Rushmore. They both decided that they wanted to try as well. Here is our best attempts.

Yellowstone

We spent about 2 days in Yellowstone and it was awesome! As a little girl we would go as a family to Yellowstone almost every year and I have to say I saw more on this trip then I have ever seen before.

The last day of Yellowstone I told Avery should could pick out any stuffy in the entire store. This silly girl picked the bear back pack and was SUPER excited about her "pack pack."  Really kid, the most expensive thing there and its not even a really stuffed animal. Silly girl!

Avery and I shared a bed the entire trip and seriously this is how she was every night. I swear I had to push her back to her side at lease fifty times a night.  Silly girl!

This bear is the official Teddy Roosevelt bear. I had to get Avery a miniature one that, its probably the cutest thing ever. Too bad I like it a thousand times more than Avery does.

I love this picture. Both Amberly and Dallin were so sweet to let Avery follow them around and copy everything they did. They always watched out for her and made sure that she had whatever she wanted. She defiantly got spoiled with attention on this trip.

 Waiting for Old Faithful.

Grandpa Hoss made sure that he sent me with $2.00 for each kid so that they could get icecream at the Old Faithful Inn... too bad Grandpa doesn't understand inflation. HA!

On the second morning of Yellowstone I HAD to take pictures of each of the kids while they slept since they looked so dang cute, and it was like the only time they were all happy. HAHA!

Little Miss Amberly pushing Avery around. What a HUGE helper!

Bear World

Kirsten and I had planned to go to Yellowstone with the kids and while on our way we stopped at Bear World. What a COOL park!!! We got there in the morning which I would highly recommend, the bears were out and about waiting for some breakfast. This is on our MUST do again when Avery is a little older!

Ya, this is a little bit of an inappropriate angle bit it's just too funny not to share! haha

These pictures are from a tour we took where we got to feed the bears in this big truck and it was AWESOME! The bears came right up to the truck and would do tricks. SOOOO COOL!

They even had this really cute petting zoo and the animals are so friendly and just look at this deer that loved Amberly and Dallin.

Here is the type of quality picture you get when you ask a stranger to take a group picture. thanks, for cutting Dallin in half! HA!
