Feeling better in our Sunday best.

Avery is feeling so much better and she looked so stinking cute yesterday when she got ready for church that I had to pull out my camera. For Mother's Day Nate had a window seat built for me and it is my new FAVORITE spot in the house. Avery loves it as well and spends hours sitting on it reading books and just looking out the window.

Fever and the flu.

Last Thursday Nate come home from work feeling sick. He spent all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday in bed which if you know Nate the man can't hold still for more then 5 minutes. On Saturday Avery started to get a small fever which I thought was nothing more then teething, boy was I wrong. By Monday Avery still had a low grade fever and was very whiney and all she wanted was to snuggle in fact all week she has said; "nuggle me mom nuggle me," boy does this break my heart. Monday morning started her on Tylenol and Motrin every four hours but she wasn't getting better.
On Wednesday Nate was feeling much better which was so nice because we had an appointment with Dr. Ganesan her Urologist. This was a great appointment! He said that Avery's reflex is down to a grade two and that he wants to just wait and see us back in a year. This is fantastic news and I am so glad that things are improving! He was really funny he said, "I have already operated on her two times and I don't want to do it again." this made me giggle for some reason. HA!
Anyway, back to Miss Avery on Wednesday the fever was back up and she looked miserable! Dr. Ganesan told me that if the fever hadn't broken by Thursday that I should take her into the pediatrician just to have her checked out. Thursday came and she was still feverish so we took her in and she has another UTI. UGH!!!!  Poor thing didn't show any of her normal signs so I had no idea.  The pediatrician started us on yet again a new antibiotic and sent us home.  At two am the next morning Avery threw up and had a fever of 104.5 YIKES!!!! We rushed her into an emergency care where they gave Avery a huge shot with a different antibiotic, something for her nausea and a huge dose of Motrin.
By Friday morning Avery was looking much better and had started acting like herself. The thing that just breaks my heart is that Avery keeps saying, "doctor hurt doctor hurt." Every time I change her diaper she cries and says, "no mommy hurt, no hurt." Ugh!  Poor girl has been through so much and it just breaks my heart.
I am so grateful that Nate was able to be with us through everything, he is such an awesome man and an even better daddy. I am also so grateful that we have modern medicine, I can't imagine what could have happened if we didn't have great doctors like Ganesan and the other huge medical support system that we have.

Here are a few pictures of my little sickies.

Look at Nate's mask! HA!!!!! He wore it EVERYWHERE. It was the funnies thing. I tried to tell him that he needed to draw a smile on it so that it wouldn't scare anyone. HAHA!!!

Avery's new dress

My very cute mom sent down this little dress that I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! it's sparkly its hot pink and ohhh so cute! The best part about the dress is that Avery adores it. As soon as I put it on her on Sunday she twirled around and then looked down at her dress in awe.  My mom used to make ALL of my dresses and I used to think I was the luckiest little girl because no one else would have a dress just like mine.
Thank you Grandma Christensen for making Avery her new favorite dress!

I think Avery was done with picture time a little sooner then mom was, to bad as soon as she started to cry she looked to dang cute to stop taking pictures.
Any guesses on what she is saying here? ha NOOOOOOOOO! HAHA

Ok, look how stinking cute this little girls hair is! I just can't get enough of how fun it is to see her with her hair all done up.

Easter Weekend

Our family had so much fun Easter weekend we went to two different Easter egg hunts and then our own little family had our own little egg hunt. Avery was such a delight and LOVED looking for the little eggs or maybe it was the candy inside that she loves so much. A girl after my own heart.

Easter morning Avery woke up to eggs all over the house which it took her a few days to find them all. Every time she found one she would jump up and down and scream "egg mama egg."  The Easter bunny brought a few toys from her new favorite show Danial Tiger which I LOVE. As a small girl I remember coming home from Kindergarten and going to my grandparents and laying down on the couch and watching Mr. Rodgers until I feel asleep.  I am so glad that we found this little gem of a show and that Avery loves it.

Look at that bed head! HA!!!
