Back to life!

Well, I have been a stay at home mom for a month now and I am LOVING it!!!!! Avery and I have been keeping busy with the gym, a music and dance class, library story time and just the day to day routine that we have gotten into. This past week Avey has become a girly girl. the girl wont leave the house unless she has on a necklace and her purse.

Here is my Little Diva Boa and all. I had to make a tutu for a friend and attached a boa to it and had some left over. Miss. Avery found it and has been wearing it around the house and thows a fit when I don't let her leave the house in it.

Nate LOVES V8 juice and drinks it almost every day. About a month ago Nate would give Avery a little sip here and there of the V8 and now the girl is obsessed with it. If she sees Nate drinking it then she HAS to have her own, with a straw.

It was BEAUTIFUL today!!!! So, we decided to go up to one of my favorite parks here in town and soak up the beautiful weather. Miss Avery was adorable in her church dress and I just had to get a few pictures of her. I swear she is growing so fast, one day I look at her and then the next she is completely different and so grown up.

Look at this smile! this is Avery's go to stance when she gets excited. Every time she does it I crack up. where does this kid learn this stuff?

My friend's daughter was wearing some teal skinny jeans and when I saw them I KNEW I had to get some for Avery! Look how stinking cute they are and with the boots it's almost so cute I can't handle it.

See, again she goes right to this silly little thing with her hands. Ha, it just cracks me up!

Oh my goodness, look how big she is getting that baby face isn't such a baby face any more.

This is Avery and her BFF Reese. I think Reese is feeding Avery a piece of wood but who cares when they are this cute and they are sharing.

I started to sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and Avery stuck her hands in the air and she started dancing. If this kid gets any more adorable I don't know what the heck I am going to do. I just love being this little girls mom and I am so happy that I get to enjoy every second of her life.

Grandpa Vidrine's

So Nate flew to Idaho Falls to as he says “drag me back to Henderson.” We stayed at his dad’s house and it is always so fun when we are at Grandpa Vidrine’s house is like a small petting zoo that Avery LOVES! It’s not just all the animals that she gets to play with, it’s also the amazing kids she gets to play with. On this Trip Avery had so much fun playing with her Aunt Hannah.

I LOVE this picture. every time I see it it takes my breath away.

 Just checking out the sheep.
Avery has been on this really big purse kick. Everything is a purse now and she carries it just like this every time.

Uncle Phil's Dairy

Poor Nate I know was super excited that I was not going to be working and I am sure that I surprised him when I told him that I was going to drive up to Utah for the weekend the day after I quite. I had planned on driving up on Friday and then driving home the following Tuesday but then when I got up there I decided that I might as well go up to Idaho and see my Grandma and Phil. So when I called Nate I was super excited when he was just fine with that and in fact he had been looking at flights to come up the following weekend to help me drive home.
I stayed with Kirsten on Friday and Saturday and it would be a understatement to say that Avery loved it there. Kirsten has three cats and Avery would just chase them around any chance she got.

On Thursday we took a trip to Uncle Phil's Dairy. We loved every second of being with Phil and Stephanie and Jed. Jed is ALL farm boy infact if he could I think if he could he would run the dairy on his own.

Here is Mr. Jed showing us his cows and showing us how to pet them.

Little Miss Avery had some help from Uncle Phil while checking out the cows. The joy and excitement that came out of this little girl was the best. She would get brave enough to reach out to them and then she would get scared and pull back in just as they would be interested in her.

Jed then took us over to check out the chickens and collect the eggs. Look at how blue this boys eyes are!

Avery even got check out  the baby chicks.

 What a proud Papa!

 Uncle Phil working hard.

Avery was sad that she was leaving the cows so Grandma and Uncle Phil helped her walk back.

 Snuggling with a baby kitty.

Jed showed Avery his toys and the supervised to make sure she played with them correctly.

This little boy climbed up the tractor with no help. I was talking with Stephanie and she was telling me that she really has to watch him because he loves to get up in all the tractors and will try to start them.

Avery was super content just playing in the bucket of the tractor.

I love this picture I feel like it just captures the entire peaceful feeling of being out on the dairy that day with beautiful views all around us.

We sure love this little family and are so grateful that we could get the entire tour of the dairy and then sit and enjoy them. I just wish we lived closer so we could go up and see them more often.

Weekend Fun

I love the weekends! They are full of fun and quality time with Miss Avery. A few weeks ago Nate and I decided that we needed to make some sock puppets for Avery. Avery giggles and giggles every time she watches "Baby Enstine" and the hand puppets come out.  Well, we had some friends over and decided that we all should make puppets! This was super fun and I loved watching the men get so creative. The kids enjoyed every second of it, and we had many many laughs.

Camryn just loved her sock puppet she named it, "Princess Cupcake" we glued a cupcake button in the mouth.

Avery was not so sure about daddys sock puppet "Mr. Crazy Eyes"

We of course had to to have a puppet show... or at least hide behind the couch and giggle!

Avery decided that she loved the sock puppets and she loved to suck on mommy's sock puppet's hat. Sometimes in the morning Nate and I will open her bedroom door just enough to stick our sock puppets in the door and we will start to talk with the sock puppets and Avery will laugh and laugh and then she will start to jump in her crib.

I made an icecream cake for a coworkers Birthday and well Avery just had to help by licking off the spoons. Avery sucked on both spoons for a good hour walking around the house saying, "num num."

On Sunday I was putting Avery down for a nap after church and as I was rocking her I just was over come with such gratitude that this sweet little girl is part of my life. Avery brings such joy to our home and has made our marrige and life complete. Avery recently has started to pat our backs when we give her a hug and this just melts me. She is the kindest most loving little girl I have ever seen. these are the moments I will never forget and get me through the rough days at work.

This litle kitten she is holding on to is Mittons, a Christmas present from Aunt Kirsten, Mittons takes every nap and has to go to bed with her every night.

Retirement Party

On August 27th I retired that’s right I didn’t quite I didn’t leave my job I decided that instead of having a big fancy title at work the only titles I wanted more than anything were the title of wife and mother. I have been working since I was 14 in fact I had to lie about my age in order to get my first job. I decided that since I didn’t really have to work and since Nate’s company has been doing extremely well and he had to take on a lot when it came to Avery that I would just stop working. That’s why I “retired”

I had worked for Pinnacle for almost four years, I had worked on two different properties and when I left I was at one of the largest apartment communities in Las Vegas.  I joked that I wasn’t a Leasing Manager that I was on the city council!  This property is HUGE!!!! While at Renaissance Villas I have had the opportunity to work with people that I loved. I feel as if by working with Pinnacle it allowed me to really come out of my shell and blossom.  I had the same boss , Troy Perkins the entire time I have worked with Pinnacle and he has really taught me so much about life and about myself. He became more than a boss he has become a great friend and confidant.  I think I will miss him and our “therapy“ talks the most.

So, on my last day of work my coworkers threw me a little party! How cute is that? They brought in donuts, the  gave me flowers and a balloon, and then topped if off with a sweet going away card. In return   I found these really cute mugs with a mustache on them and then I took a sharpie marker and wrote their names on it along with a personalized quote or a saying on each of them. I had so much fun trying to come up with what to put on them.

This is Evy with her Angry Eyebrow cup.

This is JJ his cup said,: “I tried to be normal once… longest two minutes of my life.”

This is Ron, his cup said: “At least my kids think I’m cool.”

This was April’s cup. I think you can actually read this one.

This is Nellie her cup said: “My brain is giving me the silent treatment today.”

This is Troy’s cup with an original quote from him.

This is Carries cup,  our go to girl when it came to any form of letter.
This is Ms. Betty’s cup: “Great things come in small packages.”
By request the office asked me to make Natella cupcakes one last time.

I really loved each of the people that I worked with and have really missed hearing their silly stories about the weird things that happened while over the weekend. Since I know that they read this blog I just wanted to give them a shout out that they are the best office staff any girl could have worked with.
I am not going to lie since I have stopped working I have struggled more than a little bit with trying to figure out what my “job” is now as a stay at home mom. You see at work I had confidence people looked up to me, my ideas always appreciated, I got to tell people to do things for me,  and I got to dress up and wear heels every day.  It really mattered to people that I was there every day I was someone important in others everyday life. Well, being at home is not the same as being at work, work is much easier. Avery doesn’t care how clean the house is or if I make her a gourmet meal. She doesn’t care that I spent all afternoon ironing Nate’s shirts. Or even if her hair is done every day before we go somewhere.  So I have had to revaluate what is important and ya’ know what I have come to realize? All the things I thought were important… there not. What’s important is that I love my daughter, and I get to spend every second of the day with her. I get to sit down every day and read every book in the house with her if she wants. I get to watch Avery learn and grow and that’s what’s really important. So, I may have been an important person at work that people looked up to but the only person that I really want to look up to me is Avery.
