Clark County Fair

Have I mentioned that Nate is a Fair junkie? I swear we have to go to EVERY fair that is anywhere close to Las Vegas. Anyway, the Clark County Fair was this weekend so we went to it on Friday after Avery's nap. She was such a good girl and I don't think she cried even once. When we first got there it was kind of hot so we decided to go check out all the animals first. I am SO glad we did because by the time we finished it had cooled down and it was perfect weather.

We saw the horse ride and we HAD to have Avery try it. When she was about 6 months old we tried to have her ride a horse and she was not having it. I was so excited that she was into this time. Avery was on it for about 15 minutes and she looked like she enjoyed it until like the last 2 minutes and then she was done.

Look at this little face!

Oh, how I LOVE this picture. I love the look on Avery's smile and then to look at Nate's face. I love watching Nate watch hero, He always has a HUGE smile and he giggles non stop.

Nate got a Root Beer and Avery demanded that she had to drink from it.

Avery got her face painted and did such a good job and was really excited to watch as it got done. I thought for sure that she would wipe it off as soon as it was done but to my total surprise she left it alone the entire time and then when we got home she was upset that I made her wipe it off before bed.

We had such a good time and I hope that next year Avery will be big enough to really enjoy it and and be able to ride the rides.

Tub time after a cold swim

Avery was freezing after being in the pool so I made her take a bath and at first she was really mad because she thought she would have to take her goggles off. I am so glad that I let her keep them on because she looks ADORABLE in them. As I was sitting with her while she took her bath I just couldn't help but take a million and a half pictures of her. When I think of these pictures I can't help think of the pictures that are the reenactment of a baby picture. Ya know the ones that are side by side picture of the little kid and then the picture of them as an adult reenacting the picture. HA!

Avery was wearing a  dress earlier in the day and this is the little diaper cover from it. HA!

Today I decided to try a new hair style with her and I LOVE IT. I know this is not a great picture of it but hey, this is after it being in most of the day, after a swim and during a bath and it still doesn't look terrible.

I love how happy Avery always is! This picture really captures her true smile.

Pool season officially begins!

Today Nate and I went out to clean the pool and Avery decided it was time to get in the pool for the season. At first I thought she would just sit on the side and play with her fishing poll but as soon as she started to play with the fishing pole it was all over she wanted IN. she took her clothes off went and got her floaties and she was in the pool just like that. She is so confident in the pool since she and I swim at the Rec. center at least once a week and at first didn't seam to be bothered by the cool water.

Avery showing off her mad swimming skills. At one point she swam from one side of the pool to the other and back again. I was loving watching her be so independent but Nate was having a heart attack.

Daddy teaching Avery how to fish like a pro.

I think that daddy has a new fishing partner.

I love how her eyes just pop when we are out at the pool.

Uncle Phillips Farm

I love that we had the opportunity to go to Uncle Phillip's farm. Avery lights up when she sees the animals and talks about them for days after. I wish we lived closer so we could go over more often but it was a nice little treat to sneak over there on Thursday.

Helping Uncle Phillip collect the eggs except that Avery didn't know what do do with the egg so she threw it back in and broke it. Not much of a farm girl.

Papa helping Avery look at the little cows.

Jed cracked me up. He wanted nothing to do with Avery and anything she was doing, he was just too cool for that.

Eww, look at the the tongue on this cow any closer and Avery would have gotten a big kiss.

Grandma and Papa Christensen's House

YEAH I finally got a battery for my camera just in time for another trip to Idaho! As a little girl I spent so many hours on this little wood horse as soon as Avery saw it she wouldn't sit any where else.

I put Avery's hair in pig tails and thought I would try to braid her hair just to see what it would look like? I think it is SOO cute!

A few good shots of Avery's different expressions!

Avery and I went to see Grandma at work and Avery was spoiled with lots of treats and yummy chocolate milk.

I know my mom is going to kill me for posting these pictures but look how cute they are asleep in the back seat as we went to Uncle Phillips.
