Pretty Little Dresses!!!

I can’t believe that little Miss Avery is already 11 months. It feels like just yesterday I was holding her for the first time. Since Nate is out of town, working on one of our rentals, Avery and I have had lots of girl time.  By girl time I mean that we have scrubbed the house did laundry and went SHOPPING!!!!  This weekend was also set aside to get Avery to sleep through the night again. Avery has been up every night from about two A.M to five A.M this makes for a not so happy mommy! I would just like to point out that before her last surgery she was a solid sleeper. Anyway, this weekend we stuck to the schedule and I gave her some tough love, and just like that we have had two nights of bliss. YAH!!!!
Anyway, back to the pictures. When I was a little girl my mama would make all my dresses and I would twirl around and a around thinking that I was the prettiest princess in the world. Well, my mom made little Miss Avery a pretty princess dress and I HAD to take some pictures of her in it. Then I remembered that I had some pictures of me when I was little in a dress almost identical to hers. I still have my dress and you better believe we will be taking her picture in it as soon as it fits.
Ha! Enjoy a trip down little Miss Avery and Emily Lane!

I see absolutely NO similarities here!

Second Generation Best Friends

Growing up on Melrose would have been any childs dream. My best friend lived across the street and we did EVERYTHING I mean EVERYTHING together! Annie lived across the street from me and all summer long we would be found playing Barbie’s, dolls, gymnastics and anything else our little imaginations could think of. At night we would play night games until we got called in, but the first sign of light we were back together.  Annie and I are a week apart and always felt as if we were twins sent to two different families.  We always said that we would have our babies at the same time, and that we would HAVE to live just as close as we did growing up so our children could be as good as friends as we had once been.
Years have passed and though we don’t live across the street from each other we are still best friends. Tucker Annie’s son was born on May 27th and Avery was born on June 26th they are one month apart just as we had planned when we were I don’t know five! Even though we don’t get together as much as we wish, due to living across the country when we do get together it feels like we still live across the street.  With all this being said, I was so excited that Annie was in town and had invited Avery and I over for a play date.
The four of us went to lunch or better known as Avery and Tucker’s fist date!  At the restaurant both babies were so good; at one point Annie and I giggled because Avery and Tucker were babbling back and forth as if they had their own conversation going. After lunch we went back to Annie’s mom’s house and talked and talked and talked and talked. It felt like we had maybe been away from each other for a week, not years. Avery had a nap in Tuckers bed and then Tucker had a nap in the same bad, we joked that our babies had already shared a bed. Oh the scandal!

Tucker and Avery played so well together both babies shared all their toys, snacks and even Sippy cups got swapped a few times.

Annie is so cute she put up this castle tent Tucker loved it and Avery thought it was…ok. I kept telling Avery how lucky she was to have a boyfriend that built her a castle.

Yes, This is the face that Avery was giving me. She refused to look at the camera.

I really hope that someday Annie and I’s dream comes true. Someday I hope that we can live on the same street and let our babies play together just as we had all those years ago.

POOL TIME!!!!

This last weekend we got back in our pool which was so fun for little Miss Avery. Since her last surgery on May 3rd she has not been able to get in the pool due to the healing process.  So this weekend Avery swam her little heart out. Nate got in the pool with her and was throwing her in the air and she would laugh the cutest of all laughs!

Here is little miss Avery being thrown in the air by her daddy. Nate is so stinking cute with her! He will push her all over the pool and then get her out of her little boat and let her swim with him while he sings crazy little songs all about her. It just melts my heart at how much he adores her!

Look at her just kicking in her little boat like she is a super star!

Then on Sunday I went and picked up this cute little purple car that I just HAD to have for her! Now before you start thinking that this kid is spoiled rotten I got it used for $15.00 WHAT A STEAL!!!! Avery definitely loves it and has fun riding in it if someone is pushing her but let’s face it who wants to bend over in this heat for an hour pushing her? Not this mom! When I grabbed my camera and started taking pictures Avery got bored and decided that she needed to check out the engine of her new hot rod HA!!! What kid thinks it’s more fun to be under the car then riding in the car? Yah this kid does!

Last night as I put her down to sleep I just could not help but feel so blessed that Avery chose me to be her mommy. Avery truly has been the biggest blessing of my life.

Today is the day!

This week I have been really struggling on how I wanted to document our lives. I mean hello I have this amazing camera and I love taking pictures of the cutest little girl in the world but then what do I do with the pictures I put them on my computer and there they sit. Well not any more, after talking with a dear friend I have finally committed to jumping on the bandwagon and starting a blog.

So to start off the blog I want to document little Miss Avery's first tooth. I know what you are thinking this girl is how many months old (10) and she has just now got her first tooth? I was starting to think she would never get a tooth!

After a long day of Avery crying and being fussy I gave her a little mesh sack  and put in frozen berries and as you can see she  LOVED it. This little girl sucked on the fruit for an hour! Avery just sat in her high chair and didn't make even a peep.

I just love those blue eye of hers. I cant help but take picture after picture of her.

Avery was so proud of herself!she was so funny she would squeezes the juice from the bag onto her little tray and paint with it. Its a good thing this little girl was a naked girl or we would have had a huge mess. When she was done she I just sat her in the kitchen sink and hosed her down and she just laughed and laughed.

I know its a long shot that you can even see the tooth but I promise it is there but the little stinker does not like to show it off. She loves to rub her little tongue across it and feel it but the moment she sees me bring out my camera she closes her mouth and refuses to open it.
